BMH Officials Registration

VOLUNTEER DISCOUNTS ARE AVAILABLE TO SKATERS AND REFS WHO AREALSO INTENDING TO PARTICIPATE IN SOME OF THE BOOTCAMP AND SCRIMMAGE EVENTS.  (Scrimmage refs who do not wish to take part in the bootcamp will not be charged.)  VOLUNTEER SPOTS ARE LIMITED. IF YOU WANT TO VOLUNTEER, YOU MUST FILL OUT THE OFFICIALS APPLICATION FORM HERE, AS WELL AS THE REGISTRATION FORM.

The purpose behind having an official registration is as follows:

1.       Planning , Planning, Planning

a.       An event this size take quite a bit of planning to organize

b.      We want to make sure there is even experience within the officiating crews

c.       We need to know what your officiating availability is– (what bouts you plan on skating in)

d.      Emergency contact and insurance info

2.       Which officials plan to attend the Officiating Clinic

a.        If you were unable to attend an official WFTDA Officiating Clinic, you should find this to be helpful

b.      The officiating clinic is aimed at officials with 0 – 3 years experience. The goal is to help everyone understand the roles of their position and how to effectively communicate with other officials. Often Skating Officials work in unfamiliar crews and if everyone understands these standard officiating guidelines the zebra crews can achieve success

c.       A quick look at building an Officiating Resume

d.      How to properly fill out Officialing Evaluation forms

e.      The clinic is not a rules discussion. There will be Q&A and clarification discussions at the end of the session if time allows.

3.       Networking &Mentoring

a.       If you are new to officiating this is a great way to meet other officials and share knowledge and experiences
